1.the two artworks that have an impact on me are Charles E. Burchfield's Gardenville Studio and Valentino Dixon, Charles creating the whole studio makes me feel like i was actually there with him painting when i physically see the studio now i know how he felt and what he saw. Dixon was just mind blowing because he did it in jail and he found something to help him coupe because people usually go crazy in jail.
2. in the fullness of time and in the context of time i felt a little connection to them because i stood in front of those pieces longer than any of the other ones

3. a focus on wood and Charles Cary Rumsey are art piece that i would like to know more about because i didn't really understand it or get an connection with any of them when i seen it.

  1. Hello again! I'm happy to say that we both chose the same art gallery to write about! (We are lucky to have such a fine place so close to school) I wanted to talk to you about "A Focus On Wood," and what I took away from it. I completely understand your confusion on the collection, I can see why anyone might not be attracted to it. I think its purpose was to illustrate and hone in on wood itself. I think it is meant to show an appreciation for the material and what it is capable of accomplishing in the art. I guess I was drawn to it because I enjoy the aesthetic of the organic materials Earth offers, like wood. That's just what It took away from it.
